ROTC Overview
There are three ways to become an officer in the United States Air Force:
1. Air Force R.O.T.C.
2. Officer Training School (OTS)
3. Air Force Academy
Interested in joining Air Force ROTC at one of Detachment 607′s affiliated schools?
To join AFROTC, you must:
- be enrolled full-time in any undergraduate program at:
* Fayetteville State University
* University of North Carolina – Pembroke campus
* Methodist University
- maintain at least a 2.5 GPA
- pass the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT)
- pass the Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
- be a US citizen prior to 2nd semester of your sophomore year
- have no history of drug abuse
- be medically certified by Air Force medicatl personnel (arranged by the department)
- have minimal civil involvements (traffic tickets, etc.)
