BIO:
Lieutenant Colonel Darrell Lockhart is the Commander, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC), Detachment 607, Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Lt Col Lockhart is responsible for educating, training, and commissioning officer candidates through a comprehensive college program. This includes providing academic instruction on fundamental Air Force doctrine, foundations of the United States Air Force, Air Force leadership and national security affairs. In addition, Lt Col Lockhart provides officer candidates practical leadership experience as well as field training experience emphasizing physical fitness and officership in preparing future officers for active duty.
Lieutenant Colonel Lockhart earned his commission and a bachelor’s degree in Military History from the United States Air Force Academy in 1992. He has served at the squadron, group, NAF, and MAJCOM levels. Lieutenant Colonel Lockhart is a master navigator with over 3100 hours of flying time.
