We are grieved by the loss of the father and grandmother of Ms. Kimberlee Hyman; the father of Dr. LaDelle Olion; and the mother of Dr. Marion Gillis-Olion.
Father and Grandmother of Kimberlee Hyman
The FSU family would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Frank C. Smith, Sr. (father) and Hazel Rogers Jones (grandmother) of Kimberlee Hyman, Office of Sponsored Research and Programs.
A private memorial was held for her father on Sunday evening. A private service is scheduled for him on Wednesday in Raleigh, NC.
A memorial service for her grandmother will be held on Tuesday, May 25, from 4 – 8 p.m. at William Toney Funeral Home in Zebulon, NC. A home-going service will be held on Wednesday, May 26, at 3:30 p.m. at Riley Hill Baptist Church, 6025 Riley Hill Road, Wendell, NC 27520. In lieu of flowers for Ms. Jones, memorial contributions may be sent in her honor to her church, Riley Hill Baptist Church.

Father of Dr. LaDelle Olion

Mother of Dr. Marion Gillis-Olion
The FSU family would also like to extend our sincerest sympathy to the family of Mrs. Frances Gillis, mother of Dr. Marion Gillis Olion (Academic Affairs) and mother-in-law of Dr. LaDelle Olion (Graduate School). A viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, May 26, 2010, from 4 – 6 p.m. at Wiseman Mortuary in Fayetteville (910-483-7111). The funeral will be conducted on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at a location to be determined.
