Reminder: Auditions Announced for FSU Production of the Last Days of Judas Iscariot Tonight
Auditions for the first play of FSU Theatre’s 2012-2013 season will be held on Friday, August 24, from 5-7pm at Butler Theater on the FSU campus.
Auditioners are invited to stay and participate in FSU’s 24 Hour Theatre Project, which kicks off at 7:30pm that evening. Registration for 24HTP is required.
The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, by playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis, tells the story of the trial of Judas — set in a corner of Purgatory called “Hope” — and his betrayal of Jesus Christ. An imaginative and challenging piece featuring characters from Judas and Jesus to Pontius Pilate, St. Monica, St. Thomas, Caiaphas, Mother Theresa, and Sigmund Freud, the play explores themes of guilt and innocence, forgiveness, redemption, and betrayal.
This production is directed by FSU Assistant Professor of Theatre, Jeremy Fiebig.
Auditions are open to FSU students, faculty, staff, as well as members of the larger community. Auditions will involve a cold reading from the play.
Auditions are open to everyone, but registration is required. Please contact Jeremy Fiebig at jfiebig@uncfsu.edu to register.
If you would like to schedule an alternate audition time, please contact Jeremy.
