Winners of FSU Economics Music Video Contest to Be Announced in Las Vegas
The announcement of the winners and the display of the 1st place winners’ video will be announced during the festival at Planet Hollywood on July 10-13, 2013. The Second Annual Economics Music Video Contest,’ “Economic Value Is Subjective,” will be presented in Las Vegas, Nevada during a conference entitled, “FreedomFest.
The video contest was sponsored by the Fayetteville State University School of Business and Economics Hackley Endowment for the Study of Capitalism and Free Enterprise supervised by Dr. Edward Stringham. Entries were due May 15, and already have 25,000 views on Youtube. Dr. Stringham stated, “The economics music video contest really brings out students’ creativity. The entries are a real thrill to watch!”

FreedomFest, a conference attended by 1,700 people has been organized since 2002 by economist Mark Skousen. Other speakers, panelists, and debaters at the conference include: Senator Rand Paul, US Senator for Kentucky; John Allison, President and CEO of the Cato Institute; Yaron Brook, President, Ayn Rand Institute; Dinesh D’Souza, #1 New York Times Best Selling Author; John Stossel, host of “Stossel” Show of Fox Business News; and many accomplished guests. The Washington Post calls the event “the greatest libertarian show on earth,” and author and philosopher, Nathaniel Branden, commented, “I feel electricity here I have not felt in years.” Dr. Stringham stated, “I am honored that they invited us to present the winning entries of the economics music video contest.”
